Absolutely fascinating interview :) So glad I've found your Substack! The tomfoolery going on in education is a subject of long-term interest for me, but only really recently have I really dove in and started following consistently the people writing and talking about it.
I remember thinking back in 2011 or whenever it was that I read "The Dumbest Generation" (about my generation) I thought that the author had some points, but maybe he was acting a little like the old man, screaming get off my lawn to the kids. However, time has shown that he was right, and since it was written several years before I read it, if I remember correctly, he wasn't just right but early! The narcissism of millennials is completely off the charts. Anyway, this interview reminded me of that.
